“EVERY woman should have something that makes her feel special,” said Joanne Feasey, co-owner of Vintage @JoseyWales.

Feasey and husband Jonathan are passionate about “things once loved and looked after”.

The couple have been collecting vintage items for two years and as a result started the company, Vintage @JoseyWales.

“I love bone china, it dates back to the 1800s and there is so much history. Jonathan, on the other hand, has an eye for antique furniture and some of the items we have in our collection have been carried down from mother-to-daughter for generation after generation,” said Joanne.

Each item is dated and the story behind it is posted on the Vintage @JoseyWales Facebook page, so customers know exactly what they are buying. There is something for everybody and items are prized from below R100 upwards.

“One of our valued heirlooms is a tea-and-coffee set from England that had endured two world wars and is still in mint condition. The owner has no one to pass the heirloom on to,” she said.

All these loved items are on exhibition and on sale at their new trading venue, Circus Circus Café in Galleria.

There are also several other limited edition items for sale, which will make the ideal Mother’s Day gift.

Customers can shop online on the Facebook page and collect at Circus Circus or directly from the outlet.

“It is extremely important to me to be trustworthy and to honour agreements.

“Should an item have a crack or a weakness, I will point it out to my customers. Basically you are buying a piece of history and passing it on,” Joanne added.

The items on sale will change every two weeks, according to the new theme. The current theme is “Victorian High Tea”.
