Trauma unit’s new name, and AGM

THE Amanzimtoti Trauma Unit (ATU) annual general meeting was held on 14 July.

All items on the agenda were approved, including the appointment of Shavera Ishwarlall-Sayed as chairperson, the reappointment of Derrick Minya as vice-chairperson and Jenny Arnold as treasurer.

The following changes were accepted:

New name: The ATU will be trading as Turning Point - Amanzimtoti.

New vision: To see a community free of crime and abuse.

New mission: To provide care and support to victims of trauma and abuse. To facilitate restoration by empowering individuals, families and the community by transformation.
