Welfare charity shop and office opens

2017-01-11 06:01

THE Kingsburgh Child and Family Welfare Society charity shop and welfare office reopens its doors this year.

Janette Krüger, secretary of Kingsburgh Child and Family Welfare Society, said the year will be challenging for them as the lottery funding, which was applied for in 2015, has not yet been granted.

“Kingsburgh Child and Family Welfare is staying positive so that we are able to carry on our tremendous work and provide poverty relief that has been helping this community for 73 years,” she said.

The charity shop, which helps support their monthly needs, is open from Monday to Friday from 8am to 11.30am.

Please donate any unwanted clean clothing, shoes, household goods, etc. Welfare is also able to collect items.

The social worker is available from Monday to Friday from 8am to 1pm.

Welfare queries are dealt with in a professional manner so don’t hesitate to contact them should you need to.
