REMAX Amanzimtoti donated clothes and canned food to
Amanzimtoti Cares on Thursday, July 6.

“Nationally, in the month of June, Remax conducts a ‘coats and cans’ collection.

We ask our agents and the community to support us by donating clothes and blankets and non-perishable food for the drive.

“The agents decide on a charity of their choice and we decided to do Amanzimtoti Cares because we have not supported them yet.

I am glad we were able to do a fairly good collection,” said Remax spokesperson, Kathrine Salvemini.

Amanzimtoti Cares thanked Remax for their generosity and said the donations will go a long way to assist families in need.

Clothes that cannot be donated will be sold to buy food.

“The recession is affecting non-profits negatively and we recently lost regular sponsors as a result, and the community is also not able to assist as they used to,” said Edna Lourens from Amanzimtoti Cares.

Anyone willing to assist or donate can contact Lourens on 082 466 0017 or Amanda Slabbert on 084 646 6888.
