THE Durban South Opportunity Centre, creating employment opportunities in our area, has moved into the digital realm and its website is up and running.

The centre’s spokesperson, Lee Lewis said the container, which was placed at Amcup in Illovo for job seekers to register, is closed at the moment, as the location seemed impractical. However, it will now be much easier to find workers online because there are various job categories from which to choose.

“Whether you are looking for a general labourer, a chef or caregiver, we have hundreds of applicants on our database. This is a free service we provide for the community by the community,” she said.

Visit to access the website. Employers need to log in to see “job seekers”, after registering once-off.

A name, user name, email and password are required. “The password needs to be at least six characters long, with at least one number and one special character (!, @,#, $, %, ^, &, *, (, ),? ) then, click the register button at the bottom right of the page and all is set,” Lewis said. - Supplied
