LOOK Good Feel Better (LGFB) is a non-profit organisation that helps women and men in active cancer treatment to address the appearance related side-effects of their treatment in a practical and positive way through interactive, free workshops.

The initiative was introduced to Amanzimtoti last month and the next workshop will be held in January 2016 at Amanzintoti Oncology Centre.

LGFB operates at government hospitals and private clinics, including Addington Hospital, Inkosi Albert Luthuli Central Hospital, Parklands Clinic, Westridge Oncolgy, Umhlanga Oncology and Amanzimtoti Oncology and Rainbow Centre.

LGFB is open to patients undergoing cancer treatment.

Previous participants commented: "It has made me feel so much better about myself and improved my self- esteem."

"It taught me how to make myself look beautiful and feel nice and showed me that I can still look great," said another participant.

The community can make donations to LGFB or host teas or lunches for cancer awareness and donate it to the organisation.
