ANC deployees show lack of depth

2015-09-03 06:00

The current bureaucratic practices of the ‘trusted’ cadres of the ANC deployed in government have revealed ‘lack of sincerity and tenacity of purpose’.

The cadres’ moral gravity and ideological density have been undermined and diluted by the rampant acts of corruption in government, sheer ignorance of the people’s aspirations and the dilly-dallying on revolutionary principle.

In their relentless pursuit of hegemony the communists have not only confused the African masses but changed the DNA of the ANC, as the embodiment of unity amongst the African people.

We now experience tribalism and regionalism of unimaginable proportion.

The onslaught of Marxist-Leninist gang has not only dampened the people’s spirit, but forced President Zuma to turn his back on his people.

Instances of Marikana massacre; the killing of Andries Tatane, the unending Nkandla saga; Gupta scandal; police brutality on the protesting masses; the erection of e-Tolls against the will of the people; stubborn unemployment and unscrupulous labour brokering all point to inefficiency and incapacity of the ANC as a leader of society.

After 21 years of democracy it cannot be correct or logical that the people complain about lack of basic services such as water, sanitation, electricity, housing and healthcare.

These are the minimum standards to ensure that people lead a decent life. The majority party (ANC) has, however, admitted to its failures, but the people continue to invest their hope in it. A typical example of major sell-out is the property clause hence the ANC struggle to resolve the land question and distribution of mineral resources such as gold, diamond, copper, coal, manganese, aluminium, fisheries, marine oil, iron ore and platinum.

It is clear that the ANC, especially the current leadership, under Jacob Zuma and Blade Nzimande, will never possess the balls to resolve the land redistribution and employment questions. Instead the ANC is at war with itself – ideologically, spiritually and programmatically.

The ANC government must recognise and declare land a basic human right. That principle must be enshrined in the constitution because land is money and power.

Every day in their conferences, no different with NGC 2015, they talk about radical policy shift – to adopt African Scientific Socialism? Or kill the ANC and change it into Marxist instrument to implement a communist ideology? What is obvious is that South Africa’s economic and social problems are beyond the current ANC’s capacity to conceptualise and operationalise into solutions. Nonetheless, that ANC must now watch out because its delaying tactics shall deny it a place in the heart of the masses. Its relevance and ideas are murky and obsolete. Voter consciousness is awakened. No longer will the talk about history and dead people matter the most. It is us who are living that need development and sustainable growth.

Revolutionary heritage and ideological gravitus of the ANC must not be a permanent contract with the masses. Bread, economic growth and realisation of the material and spiritual interest of the Africans should determine our future in Azania. Notwithstanding political gains of the ANC since 1994 the masses ought to be made aware of its major socio-economic achievements: (1) ANC has inherited an ability to sustain the legacy of joblessness, inequality and poverty; (2) a failure on land redistribution; (3) a success in manufacturing lies and swindles; (4) failure to inspire the generative power of the rural economy; (5) a failure to create complex, sophisticated and resourceful schools for quality of education to our children; (6) a failure to recognise and honour the contribution of PAC freedom fighters; (7) a refusal to rename streets, colleges, universities and prominent buildings, airports and monuments after PAC freedom fighters; (8) a failure to bring back the head of King Hintsa and to build a monument of traditional leaders, kings and chiefs who died fighting for the total liberation of Africans in Azania; (9) a failure to return the bones of PAC freedom fighters who died in exile e.g. John Nyathi Phokela and others; and (10) excellence in sustaining the legacy of corruption, money laundering and bureaucratic inefficiency.

For many years the people have invested in the ANC with little or no returns.

The anthology of practical failures and ideological challenges experienced by the ANC government at the point of delivery is taking its toll, especially in the rural areas.

Salga, Scopa, Public Protector, opposition parties, Human Rights Commission, church leaders, traditional leaders, NGOs and the civil society should come together and investigate projects launched by former President Mbeki which are now ignored by the current Zuma administration

How much food do you need to concentrate?

We have been taught that we need three meals a day in order to make it through the day and while most of us indulge in more than our fair share there is a large portion of South Africans who are living off barely enough to sustain them.
