Archbishop CN Sineke and his wife TV Sineke are the founder members of the Free Reformed Apostolic Church of Southern Africa ,with its headquarters at NY82 in Gugulethu.

Last weekend, the church was celebrating its 25th anniversary.

Founded in 1990, the church now boasts eight circuits spread through the length and breadth of South Africa.

Archbishop Sineke not only preaches about education from the pulpit ,but always puts a strong emphasis on education and its importance, especially among the youth in his church. He said was proud that his church also boasted of a significant number of graduates, number about 20 just among his congregation in Gugulethu. The church’s anniversary also coincided with Sineke’s birthday on Saturday.

Every birthday, the church celebrates not only the founder’s coming of age, but graduates are called on to be blessed.

“This is done to encourage the youth to put education in the forefront of their future,” said the Arch.

Asked why he always stressed that girls should take the leap in education themselves.

“If you look around in society, it’s always the women who carry the heaviest burden with the children due to absent fathers, then good education guarantees them a better future.”
