Its family fun season at City Sightseeing, the company behind Cape Town’s iconic red busses and canal cruises.

Children can enjoy free trips on both the City Sightseeing open-topped sightseeing buses and their canal cruise boats this holiday, when accompanied by a paying adult.

Two children can accompany one paying adult for free up until Thursday 15 October and what’s better, unlike many other special’s, City Sightseeing’s three for one special for children is valid for weekends, school holidays and public holidays too.

Day tickets for bus tours give travellers access to all four of the bus routes, covering the Cape Peninsula.

Alternatively, children and their parents can swop the road for water and pay just R35 for a trip for two children under 18 and an adult on the City Sightseeing Canal Cruise boat which runs every 30 minutes from 09:00 to 17:00. A canopy will keep “seafarers” dry, while they can learn about Cape Town’s marine history in a choice of 16 languages.
