Mfundo Mbeki, who runs the business along with his brother Mshayi, said that they were meeting with the community as well as SAPS and other stakeholders to address the issue of security.

“We have six bouncers and there is also the centre security officials, which means there are about nine security personell at any given time.

We also have car marshals who help to alert the management when there are security concerns in the area.

We can promptly address issues that take place inside the premises but it is difficult to oversee what happens in the streets, which is where most cars are parked. We are however open to meetings and discussions which could help come with a solution,” he said.

Mbeki said that the staff and management were deeply hurt by the incident.

“We send our deepest condolences to the family and it is really unfortunate that these incidents occurred,” he said.

The funeral service of the Lemena brother will take place this weekend
