The moment Heavenly Quartez fans have been waiting for has finally come.

These four male singers have shown a marked developed since they met in 2008 and formed this group at Harry Gwala Secondary School, where they were involved in school choral activities.

Their first widely acknowledged performance was at the Silulo Ulutho Technologies graduation ceremony in Khayelitsha in 2009.

This was followed by a steady flow of functions, including performances at the Queenstown Casino, at Lookout Hill in Khayelitsha, at the World Cup Artists Stages (2010) and with the Cape Philharmonic Orchestra in 2012.

The directors of HQ Productions are Nkumbuzo Nkonyana, Melikhaya Ndabeni, Mawande Mxunyelwa and Akhona Dudumashe.

Their first full album, following the single Mzali Wam, was Isiqalo (The Beginning), this was released in 2011 and proved a great success.

The focus of the group is on classical crossover music with a flavour of opera and choral music as well as Afro-classic fused with Jazz and Gospel.

The group aim to go much further than the production of albums and the offering of ad hoc performances or gigs.

The quartet’s HQ Productions (Pty) Ltd is a registered music-production company that aims to become active in PA sound system hire, music recording, Music lessons, events, merchandising and music consultation.

On the 25th of September 2015 the group will be launching their first live dvd and website at the Look Out Hill Malibongwe Restaurant.

The dvd, which includes their Background stories and the two singles Sulila (Don’t Cry) and Sulirum, was filmed at the Look Out Hill early this year.
