Lets help our government

G overnment is trying to empower our children at school level with the latest technology, but thieves are a worrying factor.

It is not even four months into the academic year and thugs who are after equipment have struck many times at schools.

They have stolen computers, tablets and groceries meant for our children.

I humbly request an urgent intervention from the government to provide more security at schools. How can our children be on the same level as those in other countries while South Africans with evil minds steal what is meant to aid education? My advice is that all computers to schools should have devices installed that will enable authorities to track their whereabouts. If thieves keep on taking equipment, billions of rands will go down the drain. The government won’t be able to combat these criminal activities alone. It’s up to the entire community to safeguard the equipment that benefits the future of our children. Let’s help each other in this regard. Together we can make it
