Newly appointed Kaizer Chiefs captain, Siphiwe Tshabalala has admitted that they miss the team’s departed trio in Itumeleng Khune, Tefu Mashamaite and Mandla Masango, who left the club in the off-season following a breakdown in contractual talks.

‘Shabba’, who has been very close to former skippers, Khune and ‘Masha’, was roped in as the man to lead the league and cup double winning team ahead of a daunting 2015/16 campaign, however has admitted he would love to see a reunion.

“We miss the other players who are not here with us now.

“I have played with ‘Itu’ for over six years and we are very close. I have learnt a lot from them and we would have loved to have them here.

“They are all good players who we would love to have in the team. We miss them all and their services.

“We are just waiting to see what happens and if they don’t come back then I wish them all the best in their next moves,” Shabba explained
