A shout out to Mzansi youth

2017-02-23 06:00

Today the youth of areas like Nyanga, Gugulethu, Langa, Philippi and Khayelitsha are facing raw challenges regarding our future prospects.

Today we may be celebrating 21 years of freedom, but our nation is burdened with the challenges of the youth.

The youth of any country is regarded as the future leaders of the nation, but what are the chances of today’s youth becoming leaders of tomorrow.

There is so much that our Non Governmental Organisations and our Government is implementing out there and the opportunities that are waiting for us, but due to lack of motivation and role models in our communities, we easily fall by the wayside. I implore the youth to take the time to think of the blessings that we have as humans, to have the privilege to: see, hear and speak. Others are not as fortunate, so why can’t we embrace the talents we have and be seen to appreciate them.
