Women must be encouraged to be trailblazers and community builders in order to build a better society.

This is the view of Women At The Well project’s leader Zanele Shwane and to action her views the organisation will host the first Community Appreciation Awards on December 4 at Isivivane Centre at the KCT Mall from 2pm.

Shwane said women can be nominated in various categories ranging from: women in worship , community projects , business such as hospitality , construction , cleaning , media and beauty.

Shwane said their organisation want women to come out of shells an d comfort zones.“We empower them in all sorts of ways,” she said.

The criteria to nominate was simple, she it must hard working women that make a difference in the community.
