The Grassroots Boxing Academy will celebrate ten years of existence with a 20-bout tournament at Masiphumelele Primary School in Makhaza on Saturday May 13 from 10am.

An excited Jongi Kamko, founding coach and former professional boxer, said he was delighted with the journey the club has taken.

“We will have our international funders and guests on the day to celebrate this milestone,” said Kamko.

Assisted by two other coaches, Luzuko Dyantyi and Mzi Mahlombe, Kamko trains about 30 boxers that include two female boxers. Kamko invited all boxing lovers to attend. There will be perfomances by Igqange Lesizwe Cultural group and various items.

“This is a big day for Grassroots Boxing Academy,” said Kamko.
