Soccer star and sporting role model Nathan Paulse of Ajax Cape Town on Friday joined the festivities at False Bay TVET College’s Khayelitsha Campus as the Sports Committee celebrated their athletes for their valiant efforts at the recent inter-campus sports day.

At the joyful occasion, the choir serenaded guests, and set the pace for an exciting afternoon.

Mr Mteto the Campus Head for False Bay TVET College welcomed all in attendance and reiterated “Positive affirmation of good efforts help raise individual self-esteem. Many students come from very difficult circumstances and are hungry for encouragement. We need to celebrate the student’s successes and motivate them to continue making good life decisions”.

Nathan Paulse engaged the students, sharing his personal journey to success.

Certificates and medals were awarded to the athletes and Nathan applauded the ladies of the netball team who would go forward to represent False Bay TVET College at provincial level.

A note of gratitude was extended to Nathan Paulse and Ajax Cape Town for their inspirational and motivational messages.

Even though the False Bay TVET College Westlake men’s soccer team will be representing the college at provincial level, the men of the Khayelitsha Campus assured Paulse that they would be the team to watch next.

We have been taught that we need three meals a day in order to make it through the day and while most of us indulge in more than our fair share there is a large portion of South Africans who are living off barely enough to sustain them.
