Fourty youths stand a chance of each grabbing a computercourse bursary courtesy of a donation made to Silulo Technologies.

This 6 Month End User Computer Course is funded by Kovacs a company that offers accommodation at the University of the Western.

A delighted Silulo boss Luvuyo Rani said Kovacs previoously funded 13 students but now have upped the ante.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for township people who want to learn about computers,” said Rani.

He said the bursaries will equally benefit people from Dunoon, Blue Downs, Phillipi and Delft.

“This means that all learners will be allocated to Silulo franchises operating in the above mentioned areas,” he aid.

Rani said they have set a qualifying criteria to accomodate unemployed people who have passed Grade 10.

“We want those people with Grade 10 to improve their lives by entering the digital zone. There is alot they can learn to uplift themselves,” he added.

Aspirant learners must write a motivation letter detailing why they must get the bursary.

“The R500 is just registration and it must be paid into the bank account. The students will then get it on completion of the course in the form of a 50-hour internet voucher,” he added. Closing date for application is August 9.

Applications can be dropped at the mentioned stores or via these emails:Dunoon and Phillipi:
