Khayelitsha rapper Abonga “Deezat” Xatyisiwe is finally releasing his first solo mixtape after back to back single releases.

The rapper with quirky rhymes and catchy hooks will be dropping his EP called Piece of Cake at the end of May.

“The project will be released digitally through music download websites but all the information will be shared on my social media platform. It’s an exciting time in my career as you know I have been releasing singles over the web and they have been well received as a result I have been getting bookings to perform,” said Xatyisiwe.

The rapper has made a name for himself in the local rap industry since his debut single called ‘Hay Sho’ which was released in 2014.

Last year one of his most popular singles was Waya Waya which was a typical story of the local experience of night life for a young man in the townships.

This authenticity and playful rhymes won him a following which he hopes will help sell his debut EP.

He has also enrolled some of his trusted producers and rappers on the project to continue his brand of music.

“On this project I featured talented rappers such as PS Quint, Rattex, Tumi, Smalleyez Soska, and Breezy. I have also reeled in producers CMC, MSA, Chilly Fly, Maccoh, Mattic, WonYa and Beat Bangers SA.

It will still have my most popular singles such as ‘Hay Sho’ and Waya Waya and its remake which features PS Quint.

I also will be shooting a video for that song,” he explained.

He said that the EP will be released on 30 May and will be available online. You can find him on Facebook: Deezat Piece Of Cake EP, Instagram and Twitter @Deezat_sa.
