Help beauty queen to raise charity funds

Nozuko Sami from is amongst the hopefuls who will be competing for the Miss Ekasi Western Cape beauty pageant title taking place on Saturday 4 November at Desmond Tutu Hall in Makhaza.

The event is hosted by model Zimkhitha Ntywankile and will see 13 contestants vying for the diadem.

“This is the second time we are staging this pageant and the response was overwheliming. We hope the actual event will be lit,” Zimkhitha.

She said all contestants have been urged to raise funds a children’s home in Town Two.

“We want to buy them things they need for the home,” she said.

All the contestants have been urged to raise R1500 each towards the cause.

Nozuko said she was working hard to achieve thsi goal.

“I am happy to be a finalist because this I will be contributing towards a noble cause,” she said.

She said Miss Ekasi WC was not only about beatiful models prancing on the stage but “a purposeful event aimed at grooming girls into model with leadership skills.”

“We are taught great stuff by Zimkhitha because she herself is a grounded model. She is preparing us for greater heights, she teaches to avoid youth traps,” enthused Nozuko.

Zimkhitha agreed with Nozuko saying Miss Ekasi WC “teaches models how to be a helping hand in their communities by helping those who are less fortunate through fundraising activities.”
