Hip hop artist to leave an impression at fest

A young Khayelitsha hip hop artist is preparing for performing in a national competition which he believes will open doors for him.

Azola “D-Eyzho” Xobiso, 19, is looking forward to share a stage with dozens of other aspiring artist who will participate in a Hip Hop Festival in Johannesburg from Friday 07July to 09 July.

“I will give my best performance ever there. I am preparing everyday for the event. It will give me an exposure.

“I believe doors will open-up for me after this festival. My future goal is to share a stage with well known artist. I love music a lot. I grew-up playing soccer and I was a good defender, but I had to quit after I realised I also have a talent in music,” D-Eyzho said.

He shifted his focus to music in 2011.

D-Eyzho first worked as a solo artist and released a single track titled “fear” under Light Sport Entertainment.

He then joined Micas Production for a while before he started his studio called Digital Music Record in his room in Site B.

He produced and made music beats for Afl Narrator and Floyed.

“That is where I started seeing my music taking shape and direction,” he added.

He released a mix-tape on social network titled Eyzho the March in 2013.

The then worked with Black Twisted Crew, Telematic and Mk the Prince.

D-Eyzho was signed as a producer by T-Swagg Entertainment and he is producing for Mk the Prince, Mike Lo and Dinny.

He released his single titled “Abuse” last year which discourages abuse for women and children.

D-Eyzho and the artists that he works with are due to release single titled Whatagwana in few weeks time.
