KFC recently celebrated the return of their “It’s Finger Lickin’ Good” tag line with a Sensory Dining Experience hosted at the Giggling Gourmet, in Cape Town.

Musician J’Something, from Micasa has turned chef extraordinaire and has hosted guests, including the media, celebrities and local KFC fans.

J’Something assisted Sam Mdluli, KFC Head Cook, who revealed how KFC prepares Finger Lickin’ Good chicken by hand every day in KFC restaurants.

Mdluli has worked at KFC for over 25 years, and during this time he’s breaded about 9.5 million pieces of chicken, preparing it exactly the same way Colonel Harland Saunders did over 75 years ago.

Guests then tried their hand at preparing KFC’s Original Recipe chicken and had the opportunity to be the first people in South Africa to try out the new KFC Burrito, which is coming to KFC restaurants September 6th.

After trying their luck perfecting the Original secret recipe, guests tucked into some delicious KFC, swapping stories and childhood memories of their Finger Lickin’ Good moments.
