Limited burial services

City will have limited services at cemeteries over festive season.

Some of the cemeteries managed by the City of Cape Town will offer limited services over the festive season and on specific public holidays. The limited service refers only to burials. • Friday 16 December 2016 (Day of Reconciliation): open until 13:00, •Sunday 25 December 2016 (Christmas Day): closed, •Monday 26 December 2016 (Day of Goodwill): open until 13:00

•Tuesday 27 December 2016 (public holiday): open until 13:00, •Saturday 31 December 2016: open, •Sunday 1 January 2017 (New Year’s Day): closed

•Monday 2 January 2017 (public holiday): open until 13:00

‘All of the City’s cemeteries will be open daily for visitation during this period, including public holidays. Staff will be on standby to assist with Jewish and Muslim burials ,’ said the City’s Mayco member Cllr Anda Ntsodo.
