Zandisile Rhayi, one of Khayelitsha’s finest vocalists is set to release a thriller for his latest musical offering.

Widely known in the Mother City after a decade, he is on the cards for his first studio release.

Of his yet unreleased and untitled album, Rhayi has just released another single titled Nguye Lona, which has been remixed by Joburg based Dj Soso.

“The song is a curtain raiser for the album that I am currently working on, which is two songs away from being complete.

The first single was called ibhayi ne tinarha, and was a very popular last year.

He said that he has finally decided on this one after he had released many singles, following the launch of solo career as a vocalist.

Rhayi started off as a backup artist for legendary musicians Mbongeni Ngema and Sizwe Sako in the early 2000s.

“After that I decided to go my way. I loved house music so I thought why not combine the two. South Africans love to dance so what better way to share my talent than to give them something that they want?” said Rhayi.

Though he hasn’t finalised the album, and is yet to name it, the singer from B Section in Khayelitsha is confident that it will be a success.

“The first two singles have been well received. Ibhayi neTinarha has not just grown an appetite for my music in this province but has made me a household name in the Easter Cape and has even been play listed in Namibia. I have also been invited to perform at Miss Zimbabwe in Harare.”
