This event will take place at the Isivivana Centre in Cape Town biggest township’s CBD. According to organisers, this year’s instalment promises to be better than the first one.

The event will take place over two days from Friday 8 to Saturday 9 September.

“I saw that local designers don’t get the platform to showcase their designs and only use social media to market their designs which is good but not enough.

The event has gone on to attract local media and we hope that with our growth so will the designers as they will now be in the spotlight,”

“We aim to assist these designerIdentify your target clients, develop their brands, , logo and tagline as well developing a content marketing strategy. So its not just an exhibition but there will be engagement,” he added.

He said that since he was no designer he roped in some locals who had knowledge in the industry to form a team.

The team consist of business student Loyiso Mqubeni, model Zuko Langeni and designer Asanda Veco.

“We hope to grow the event as far as Africa in the next 10 years but for now we will start with the locals,”
