Langa Arts Association has done it again.

This time, they have kicked off their annual year plan by hosting a Valentine’s Day event for romantics at the Guga’s Thebe Centre on Sunday.

LAA is an association for the promotion of the arts and the development of artists in the township.

Besotted couples and singles danced the afternoon away to the mellow vibes of DJs Happy, Amanda and Sebz.

Many in the audience lamented the scarcity of such entertainment, especially for more mature audiences who don’t feel comfortable at taverns and pleaded that such events be organised more frequently for their benefit.

Light lunch and refreshments were served thanks to LAA sponsors and business partners, who made sure the wine flowed most of the afternoon.

A calendar of events for the year will see different national milestone days marked with appropriate events.

These include Africa Day in April, Youth Month in June, Women’s Monthin August and Heritage Month in September.

So if you are looking for some intellectual and soul-feeding fun, watch this space.
