Delft Police members on patrol in the N2 Gateway area was stopped by a community member who alleged that a consignment of dagga was delivered in the early hours of this morning and being stored at a house in N2 Gateway

Delft SAPS members swooped on the identified address and found a 31 year old female inside the house.

In one of the backrooms they came across three big plastic drums and several plastic bags containing compressed dagga. The female suspect indicated that the dagga originated from the Eastern Cape and was delivered in the early hours of this morning.

The estimated street value of the dagga is about R300 000 and weighed approximately 150 kg. The suspect was arrested for the possession of the dagga and will appear in the Bellville Magistrate court once she is charged.

Harare SAPS detectives worked around the clock in ensuring that the murder suspects are brought to book. On Saturday 2016-10-23 two women were severely assaulted to death at 59 Section, Kuyasa Khayelitsha.

The first incident occurred at approximately 01:20 where a 46 year old woman was allegedly assaulted by a group of unknown males. They beat her until she was unconscious. She was later transported to hospital where she succumbed to death.

The second incident occurred in the same area of Kuyasa where a 17 year old female was allegedly stabbed by a group of young men. The investigation had revealed that the victim was also robbed and raped by the suspects before they killed her. All the suspects were unknown when these incidents occurred. A tireless work done by the Harare SAPS detectives has brought a total of eight suspects who were allegedly responsible for the murder of these two victims.

Four of them between the ages of 18 and 22 were arrested the same day of the incident where a 46 year old woman was killed. Another four between the ages of 18 and 19 were allegedly responsible for the killing of the 17 year old girl. The latter were arrested on Tuesday 2016 -10-25 after a thorough investigation by the detectives.
