Stop young thugs in their tracks

2017-07-27 06:00

Kids’ acts of theft, violence and lies should be condemned. Their rooms cannot be no-go zones and they should be searched for weapons and drugs.

Parents are shocked when their well-behaved kids stab a classmate with a screwdriver, or when they only learn they are on drugs.

They may have cellphones, laptops or pocket money which didn’t come from parents.

Searching rooms will help you question items so you can stop them.

Kids must be taught to respect others and their belongings. They must also learn to tell the truth, and we must guide them.

Also teach them that police and law enforcement agencies are not enemies but are there to safeguard our well-being. They must stick to their books at all times.
