It will be a matter of horses four courses when 12 teams battle it out for the honours of lifting the Sevent Stars Energy Cup hosted by Tarverners Football Association (TFA) at the NY 116 Stadium on Sunday.

TFA chairman Lunga Ntwanambi said all entrants have shown the desire to win. “They have all raised their hands saying ‘we are the champions’,” said Ntwanambi. TFA organiser and publicist Banana Sodinga added that all teams were taking the games seriously.

“When I popped in at the training session during the week, I could only see hunger for victory,” he said. Sodinga thanked the sponsors for their generosity and vowed that “players will repay them” by showing quality football.

The first round will kick off with a game between Chillis 21 and Masters at 10am, followed by Siseko FC tackling Sabu Dribblers. There will be entertainment and fans are urged to bring their cooler bags. Other games are as: Lavida Inn v Mgebe United, Danster v Lumbumbashe,ZAR vShumonza and Noxy facing Phindamzala.
