Welcome to our new and exciting campaign. City Vision has joined its sister publications , TygerBurger and People’s Post in activating themed monthly campaigns. We tackle this month’s #We?Vision campaign together!

In celebration of 21 March, or Human Rights Day, we at City Vision and our sister publications (People’s Post and TygerBurger) have decided to turn the whole month of March into our own Human Rights Month for our very special campaign.

All of us have socks, scarves, an extra beanie, umbrella, blanket, coat or jersey lying around in a cupboard somewhere, right?

So, all our readers have to do this month is to clean out their closets in aid of organisations that focus on people living on the streets of Cape Town.

Of course we await your nomination at vukile.sonandzi@cityvision.co.za.

At the end of the month we will be giving these donations – responsibly – to the organisations that service people living on the streets, as was nominated into the top spots by you, our readers.

So, when the first nippy fingers of winter start becoming a reality, Capetonians with and without a roof over their head can be snug and warm.

We will help rid you of all your pre-loved clean, untorn, whole and still decent – so no missing buttons or zips or holes, please – clothing and shoes, and we’ll even collect it from your doorstep when we’re in the area. Just let us know where!

Look out for all our collection options, or bring your contribution along when you participate in the Tyger Run at Meerendal Farm on 21 March, where our boxes of kindness will be waiting to be filled with your black bag of pre-loved clothing!V Collection points are: Our offices in Edward Street, Bellville; Vangate Mall in Athlone and through our area-based reporters who will collect (provide an address) and at Meerendal on the day.
