Women With Intergrity is an initiative which was started by community activist and leader Zoliswa Lonja in July 2016.

After realising a need for women to discuss, motivate and support their peers, she organised a group of Khayelitsha women to start talking to one another.

The group goes by the name of “Women With Intergrity” and is non-partisan.

After a very successful and a first gathering held in August 2016 at Falsebay College, a need to for an organising team was evident.

Zandile Mahlasela and Fezeka are now part of the events organising committee.

On October 29, last Saturday, a Cancer Awareness event under the theme “ I am strong, Hope is With Me” was held.

Speakers varied from medical doctors, cancer survivors, sponsors Old Mutual and Mhonko Cleaning Services’’ Mhonko Godze shared the podium.

Godze also donated a huge some of money to a cancer victim.

The women were then pampered with massage. Their last event of the year will be held on December 10.

At the end of that event, a program for 2017 events will be decided upon.
