TPAC’s training walk will take place from Victoria Primary school and will start at 6am on Sunday.

The training walk is held so that the walkers can prepare themselves for the 25km walk and this year the club will be using the Umgumbho 25km walk in Bridge City on 20 September as the official walk of the club.

The route will be from Victoria Primary school to Canelands Bridge and back.

The ladies of the club took to the road in the Spar ladies 10km challenge recently and the race as usual was well organised and with a high turnout of participants.

The results of the spar 10km are:

Sajida Abdool 00:47, Pushpa Pillay 1:01, Sally Govender 1:08, Keshini Mahahaj 1:24, Babes Sithaldeen 1:24, Gonum Moodley 1:30, Angie Bhanath 1:30 and Sagrie Govender 1:36. Also seen in the photograph are some of the members that completed the 90th comrade’s marathon and receiving their award from Tony Singaram at the acnes and pains function.

This past Sunday another large turnout participated in the Thinny’s league challenge and Gideon Munyaradzi finished the 20km, Chris Naidoo, Sunil Parekh, Strini Moodley, Behr Pillay, Sally Govender, Kogie Naidoo, Keshini Maharaj, Babes Sithaldeen, Pushpa Pillay, Krish Naidoo, Prindha Naidoo, Angie Baijnath, Gonum Moodley, Rajen Naidoo, Sagrie Govender, Shyam Naidoo, Kandy Pillay, Selvie Naidoo, Stephenie Pillay did 15km and Joy Rajkumar, Loga Naidoo and Rivashini Rajkumar competed the 12km.

Club news and dates to remember
