Association hosts Cuppa for Hospice

2016-05-26 06:00

THE Dawncrest Civic Association (DCA) hosts the Cuppa for Hospice annually to champion the noble efforts of the Verulam Regional Hospice.

Despite the gloomy economy, the Hospice manages to open its heart and doors to patients and families providing free medical care, palliative care and counselling.

In collaboration with Pick n Pay Verulam the DCA raised R20 000 last year which was used to build the new wing at the hospice.

On the 4 June 2016 this year, the DCA will attempt to equal or better the R20 000 raised.

Both savouries and cakes will be sold from 8am to 4pm at the Pick n Pay Verulam car park and an appeal is being made for residents to support this fundraiser.

The DCA is grateful to Victor of Solitaire and Sanjay for volunteering to enhance the programme with music across the genres.
