TABLE topping Magic Stars were defeated by Calypso Sporting FC in the SAFA Castle League at the weekend.

Calypso emerged victorious in the tie as they defeated Magic Stars 3-0.

The win helps Calypso move into fourth position on the league log thanks to some good home and away results in the last few weeks.

According to team manager Johnny Nair the team has played extremely well even though some of their key players are missing.

Nair said the team are taking it one game at a time and are not getting too excited knowing the league is far from over.

Calypso will take on Igasi FC at the Shaik Mohideen Stadium at 3pm this Sunday where they will look to maintain their form.

Team coach, Walter Mkhwanazi said the team is gearing up for another excellent performance that will see them propelling up the league table.
