THE junior indoor football league kicked off at the Tongaat Indoor Sport Centre on Saturday, September 2.
Calypso Sporting FC was in action in the U13 and U15 first round matches. 
In the first match Calypso Sporting A U13 took on Belvedere and won 4-0 in what was a good start for the team.

Calypso Sporting FC said in a statement: “The team scored in both halves to ensure a win and maximum points, but will be focusing on key areas at training this week.”

The match of the day for Calypso Sporting FC was the U13 B who came up against White City FC.

“Both teams played some good football that was exciting, entertaining and enjoyed by the spectators.
“Calypso Sporting FC in this match was 3-0 down and fought back gallantly and showed courage and determination to draw the match 4-4 at the final­ whistle.”

Both team managers were happy with their team’s performance and are proud of their players that showed there is talent in their respective teams.

The U15 in their last match came up against All Stars FC and went down 3-1 to a strong and well-oiled team that was too good on the day.
This week, both teams will be back to training and to the drawing board. The teams will be training on Wednesday at the Sheik Mohideen Stadium at 5pm.
