THE U13 chess team from Dianthus Primary School represented the Mafukuzela Gandhi circuit in the code of Chess at the Circuit Manager’s Cup held at Tongaat Sports Centre recently.

The chess team was placed second and received silver medals. The following pupils participated and represented the school: Thalassa Govender, Alka Niranjan, Sohaili Jugdev, Caitlin Govindsamy, Reosha Nair, Rhea Ishwarlall, Serdian Pillay and Naomi Daka.
