THE cluster of Verulam, Tongaat and Phoenix football associations successfully hosted a football coaching workshop at Verulam Secondary School at the weekend.

The workshop was attended by 60 eager coaches plying their trade in these associations and was conducted by PCD Shile Mngoma from SAFA and SASCOC.

The purpose of this event was to enrich and improve the level of coaching in our cluster region.

Following this momentous day, the Verulam Premier League continued on 29 May seeing Classic F.C. coming up against Verulam Stars and Verulam United playing to a stalemate against GreenLeaf.

The following fixtures will be played at the Verulam Recreation Grounds on 5 June:

Game 1: Classic F.C vs. Parkgate Celtics (10.30am)

Game 2: Mswenko F.C. vs. Bhakabhaka (12)

Game 3: Parkgate Swallows vs. Verulam Stars (1.30pm)

Game 4: Verulam United vs. Green Leaf (3pm)

All games will start as indicated. If teams do not show up on time they will concede a walk over and a fine.
