Falcons welcomes Asmal’s Hypersave second leg

THE members of the Checkout Verulam Falcons welcomed the second leg of the Asmal’s Hypersave series as they get into stride for the forthcoming season.

Perfect weather greeted participants as they took on the challenging hill from Drift to the King Shaka Airport to Nyaninga and back.

The series allows runners and walkers get in some fitness, strength and speed as they look towards participating in season ending races and setting the platform for a successful injury free season.

Bala Govender led the 21km runners whilst Dawood Norath and Bilal Moyo led the 15km runners.

Eddie Singh was the leading walker and Ari Perumal was the leading 10km runner with Ravi Perumal and Ganesh Naidoo leading the walkers. The full Falcons results are as follows:
