THE Verulam Child and Family Welfare Society in partnership with Golden Gate Spar and Verulam Athletics Club will be hosting a family fun run/walk.
The focus is “Run to help a Child”.
This phrase is used because every cent raised in this project will be used to assist our children.
This event on Verulam’s calendar takes place on Sunday October 1 at 8.30am at the Verulam Sports Ground.

Participants have a choice of two distances - 5km and 2km. Entry is R10 per person. Participants need to be at the Verulam Sports Ground by 8am.

The Verulam Athletics Club and Verulam Child Welfare and Golden Gate Spar are taking care of the logistical arrangements.

As the anchor sponsor of the fun run, Golden Gate Spar will present participants with goodie bags and medals.
Welfare is grateful to Golden Spar for embracing social responsibility and positioning the initiative as a major event on Verulam’s calendar.

To make this event a success welfare asks participants to come in their numbers.
Participants can obtain their entry tickets at Golden Gate Spar, Verulam Child Welfare Society offices and at selected schools.
Every participant will help welfare operationalise our motto Your Care Strengthens Our Care in Child and Family Care”.
Remember your very action of obtaining a fun run ticket and participating is indicative of the care you have for the poor and downtrodden because every cent raised in this event will make a difference to the lives of those less fortunate in our community.

The Verulam Child and Family Welfare Society calls on families, religious organisations, businesses, athletic clubs, Metro Police, SAPS, teachers, children and NGOs to participate.

Let us all remember that participation in events of this nature help in the promotion of a healthy lifestyle. See you at the fun run.
