TANSEN Nepaul is no stranger to the music industry and his ensemble of musicians whom he carefully selects always promises a show stopping experience.

The Tansen Nepaul Showband is a name synonymous with professional music for all occasions.

The group is equally at ease with both north and south Indian music and vocalists are chosen according to these needs.

Enjoy an hour of varied performances by featured artists produced by Styler Music Productions which includes an original release by up and coming local artist Neil Chetty.

The Tongaat fair 2017 also brings to you STYLER IDOLS – VOICE OFF CHALLENGE which is a local talent search contest brought to you by Styler Music Production in collaboration with Tongaat Child and Family Welfare Society.

Anyone wishing to enter is given a chance to perform in one of two categories, eastern or western and in two different age groups, under 15 and over 15 years old.

Four lucky contestants stand a chance to win a recording contract with Styler Music Productions as well as a full single and music video worth R6 500 per contestant. The total value of the prizes to be won is R26 000.

Comedy hour with the ever popular Masood Boomgaard is guaranteed to leave you in stitches. No stranger to the comedy scene, Boomgaard has been performing stand-up since 2007, and has shared the stage with pretty-much every top local comedian.

He made his name in the Durban comedy scene sharing the stage with the likes of Marc Lottering, Mark Banks, Muthu Murugan and Chris Forrest. He has performed in theatres and prestigious venues across the country and is the founder of “Charous and Bruinos”.

His one-man comedy shows have been a huge hit over the years (Sibaya, BAT Centre, Seabrooke’s Theatre). Boomgaard writes, he makes movies (‘Curry and Vice’)…and he’s funny.

Ameeth Shah aka “DJ Ameeth” has fast set his platform in the music industry and become a household name and a well-respected highly sought after DJ in the nightclub scene.

He has a fervid love for many different types of musical genres and sees significance with every form, refusing to keep his style limited and always having an open mind to a diverse variety of music patterns whilst straying away from the norm give him a unique signature characteristic which has shown his ability to play a wide range of sets combined with many different styles.

Driven by the pulsating beat, Ameeth has created a Storm in Durban, Johannesburg, Cape Town and neighbouring towns with his performances and the Tongaat Fair is his next local destination.

Dino Bravo was born in Cuba but grew up in Angola; his music inspiration hails from the strong Samba, Latino and African rhythm he is accustomed to and the result of this unique blend is a host of infectious combinations of musical styles.

He caught the attention of DJ Fresh and appeared on television and radios stations across the country.

Dino Bravo’s musical repertoire includes that of hip-hop, kwaito, bhangra, pop, plus much more. He has collaboratedwith some of South Africa’s finest musical talent including Kabelo, Skwatta Kamp, Malik, Proverb, Black Jack, and DJ Fresh, to name but a few.

Do not miss out on the biggest outdoor party on Saturday night complete with the best lighting and sound with the giants in the entertainment business Ameeth Shah and Dino Bravo.

Sunday kicks off with a laid back, traditional family day at the Tongaat Fair. Expect fun-filled children’s entertainment for our VIP guests, our children, at 1pm

We have a gospel hour for our lover’s of gospel music with the ever popular Gospel Sounds. In keeping with an age old tradition, no Sunday at the Tongaat Fair is complete without the soul stirring sounds of Qawwali.

The curtain falls on a memorable fair with Sketchy Bongo. You can’t really go anywhere without your ears catching a Sketchy Bongo produced song.

Entertainment for the whole family with Eddie Chetty’s Fun Fair and a variety of stalls selling an array of merchandise. Our food stalls have over the years, received its best ratings from the critics that matter, the patrons of our Fair.
