North coast schools gear up for circuit managers cup

TOP schools in the Mafukuzela–Gandhi circuit will lock horns at the circuit managers cup games to be held on Saturday, 17 September in Tongaat.

The teams will participate in different codes of sports ranging from soccer, netball, volleyball, chess and table tennis.

Tonver president, Guru Ramcharan said there will be two sections - primary and secondary.

“The six schools under the circuit of Mafukuzela-Gandhi are Billy Nair, Phoenix central, Verulam, Phoenix North, Inanda central and Inanda north.

Soccer games will be played at the Sheik Mohideen and Outspan Grounds, chess and table tennis at Tongaat Sports centre and volleyball and netball will be held at the Outspan Grounds.

The secondary schools that will be representing the Billy Nair circuit in Tongaat and Verulam are Nkosibomvu, Fairbreeze, Belverton, Mountview, Tongaat Secondary and Seatides,” he said.

He added that Primary schools will also be participating. “Primary schools in Tongaat and Verulam will be participating,” said Ramcharan.
