TONGAAT Panthers Athletic Club runners participated in the Thinnys League Challenge held on Monday, March 13.
The members took part in the ninth leg of the popular Panthers Thinnys League Challenge heading towards the R102 to King Shaka International Airport.
The league co-ordinator said that the increasing number every week and the camaraderie among the members is overwhelming.
The club said in a statement: “While we have elite runners who run the popular ultra marathons, we aim to develop the youth and also adults who may not be able to do the ultra marathon.
“We also who want to keep fit and improve their health, and then encouraging them to take part in half marathons and smaller races as well.”
The next leg of the league will take place on Sunday, March 19 starting at 3.30pm.
Members who have not renewed their club licences are reminded to do so.
Away from home Panthers took part in the Edenvale half marathon in Gauteng.
Raju Nundlal and Shyam Naidoo completed the 21.1km as part of their Comrades training programme and new members Sheldon
Nundlal and Ajith Munasur did the 10km.
