YOUTH from the Tongaat Panthers Athletic Club braved the cold rainy weather and took part in the fun run-walk in Durban that was held by the National Professional Teachers’ Organisation of South Africa.

This five kilometre race started at the Green Hub at Blue Lagoon along the scenic Golden Mile to Suncoast and back.
The Panthers Youth League co-ordinator and club secretary Ms K Maharaj said: “It is good to see the youth development programme bearing fruit. The enthusiasm displayed by these youths is very heart-warming. The programme is run every Wednesday at 4pm from the Flambel Pool parking and is open to all. The youth now prepare for the next five kilometre that takes place on June 16 at the Outspan Grounds in Tongaat.

“Panthers members are reminded that the 14th leg of the Thinnys League Challenge takes place on 28 May at 6am.”

Comrades runners are also invited to attend the Chairman's Run on this date from Victoria Primary at 6am. Club members are welcome. - Supplied.
