REPRESENTATIVES of the Tongaat Child and Family Welfare Society, Shantal Padayachee, Mariam Mkhize and Avinash Punwasi visited Victoria Primary School to receive 20 hampers as part of their winter hamper drive on June 27.

The driving force behind this initiative is a teacher of Victoria Primary, Mrs Peters, who said that the aim was to instil in their youth “a sense of giving to the Tongaat community selflessly”.

Pupils were requested to donate non-perishable items that were gift wrapped into individual boxes per class. The Tongaat Child Welfare is appreciative of such a gesture as deserving clients will now receive these hampers for the winter months.

It is with such kind humanitarian acts that allow the Tongaat Child and Family Welfare Society to attain their motto, “Our Community, Our Concern”. - Supplied.
