House break-in: Verulam –

Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (Rusa) received reports of a house break-in on 19 April at approximately 9.20am.

They were dispatched to a house on Tafiq Avenue in Riyad, Verulam.

Upon arrival officers found that the garage had been broken into. A two-plate gas stove and a tool box were stolen by suspects who had fled in an unknown direction.

Motor vehicle collision: Verulam –

Members of Rusa were dispatched to Buffelsdraai Road on 20 April at approximately 8.15pm after receiving reports of a motor vehicle collision.

Upon arrival they found a silver Ford Fiesta had veered off the road and overturned.

The two occupants of the vehicle sustained moderate injuries and were treated on scene before being transported to hospital.

Theft of motor vehicle: Tongaat -

Be on the lookout for a 1991 model, white Isuzu bakkie with registration NJ 69788.

The vehicle was stolen from the parking lot of a flat in Buffelsdale, Tongaat.

The bakkie was fitted with a canopy. If anyone spots the vehicle contact Reaction Unit South Africa on 086 1234 333.

Common robbery: Verulam –

A resident requested help from Rusa on 22 April at approximately 9am after she had been robbed of her cellphone on Ireland Street in Verulam.

Officers were dispatched to the call and upon arrival searched the area however no arrests were made.

Hijacking: Verulam –

On Friday 22 April members of Rusa were dispatched to Pumpkin Road in Waterloo, Verulam, after receiving reports of a hijacking at approximately 9.30pm.

Upon arrival officers were informed that two suspects who were dropped off by the driver of a black Hyundai Getz, hijacked the victim for his Hyundai Elantra with registration NJ 72984 before fleeing the scene in an unknown direction.

Officers patrolled the area in search of the suspects and the vehicle however, no arrests were made. - Supplied
