TWENTY one runners and walkers braved the warm and humid conditions to participate in the 18th leg of the TPAC Thinny’s League Challenge at the weekend.

The Airport route was used once again and is becoming very popular amongst athletes due to its user friendly terrain.

The results were as follows:

In the 20km run: Devan Reddy 1:49, Paul Moopanar 1:58. In the 15km run or walk: Sunil Parekh 1:45, Pushpa Pillay 1:51, Behr Pillay 2:30, Angie Baijnath 2:30, Shamala Naidoo 2:30. In the 12km run or walk: Loga Naidoo 1:30, Brandon Naidoo 1:39, Hasmook Lakha 1:40, Rajen Naidoo 1:40, Freddy Chetty 1:40, Keshini Maharaj 1:50, Babes Sithaldeen 1:50, Gonam Moodley 1:50, Rickey Moodley 1:50, Joy Rajkumar 1:50, Kaylan Periasamy 1:50, Kogie Naidoo 2:02, Selvie Naidoo 2:02. In the 10km run or walk:Rajen Pillay 1:45.

The club will hold its final league challenge on 15 November at Victoria Primary School at 5:30am.

The Tongaat Panthers AGM and Awards function will be held on Saturday 21 November at 5:30pm at Victoria Primary School.
