THE 19th and final leg of the TPAC Thinny's League Challenge took place at the weekend, starting from Victoria Primary. Club chairman Lajeeth Maharaj said that despite inclement weather, participants were not deterred.

"It rained for a bit, but the die-hards completed their run for the challenge," said Maharaj.

Maharaj said the challenge this year has been a success and has aided in growing road running and walking in the community.

"For a few years there was a lull in road running, but the league challenge was able to encourage people. We have seen a huge increase this year with the league challenge encouraging people to participate," said Maharaj.

Maharaj congratulated participants through the league season for their participation and Anesh Ramperthab who sponsored the TPAC Thinny's League Challenge.

"In the new year we hope to see more people joining our activities so we can promote and increase health in the community."
