VICTORIA Primary defined the meaning of social responsibility recently when it came to the aid of a desperate family from Emona, near Verulam.

As part of the school’s social responsibility programme, Victoria Primary reached out to the Rugnath family; whose home was recently destroyed in a fire.

School principal Lajeeth Maharaj, staff and pupils presented Mr and Mrs Jay and Anisha Rugnath with some clothing and cash in a bid to alleviate their plight.
