>> The Vishwaroop Temple and Dharamshala invites the public to their Navarathri Celebrations which takes place from 1 to 11 October at Gokhale Hall, 10 Plein Street, Tongaat. The daily programme consists of Devi Pooja, bhajans, discouse by various speakers on love and devotion through Shakti, Garbha, arthie and shanthi paat.

Kanya Pooja will be observed on Saturday 8 October.

1008 Durga Saptashati Hawan will be performed on Sunday 9 October from 1pm to 4.30pm. Booking for hawan is essential. Contact Pundit Kasoo Panday on 032 944 1898

A special Saraswathie Puja will be held for students on Saturday 8 October with blessing of books and tying of the Saraswathie string. The daily programme takes place from 6.30pm to 8pm on weekdays and from 5pm to 6.30pm on weekends. Vijay Dasami takes place on 11 October at 1pm at the temple (5 Mira Way, Everest Heights, Verulam) thereafter proceeding to the beach for a grand final Visajaran Puja.
