A WORLD of Work Conference was held by Protec in Tongaat for their 2015 graduates to prepare them for the working world next year.

Sibaya Casino sponsored the venue for the conference, which was attended by 18 recent graduates.

The students, who all attended the School Phase of the PROTEC programme have studied a variety of different careers including Engineering, IT, Science, Health, and Maritime studies.

Senior personnel from some of the country’s largest companies – RCL, Unilever, Allan Gray – volunteered their time and expertise to help prepare these young graduates for success in the workplace.

Workshops included interview skills, CV writing, communication in the workplace, networking and the importance of investing.

“Protec is extremely proud of these young people who have overcome many challenges to get to where they are today” said Protec manager, Marion Takis. “We also thank all our stakeholders for investing so generously with their time, money and expertise so that our students are able to fulfil their dreams and lead productive and meaningful adult lives.” - Supplied
